A two-year program based on National Automotive Technician Education Foundation (NATEF) model for Maintenance and Light Repair.
The certification track is designed to graduate entry-level technicians with a broad skills set, a solid foundation in automotive service technology.
The program offers live work on school-owned vehicles using high-tech equipment.
Strong ties with industry partners results in a wide variety of internships, equipment and vehicle donations, as well as industry presentations, demonstrations and clinics.
All students are given the opportunity to participate in a Work-based Learning experience, which exposes them to the operation of a business and specific job duties related to careers in their CTE area. This internship is designed to connect the skills and knowledge learned in the CTE classroom with the real world requirements of a business. Students who excel in the program have the opportunity to participate in a paid internships if available.
